Aaron Berg's experimental folk performances are not to be missed, blending bizarre tales of the road with comedic grenades and mysterious one-liners. Critics from New York to Nashville have described the live show as "riveting", "uplifting from one hypnotic twist to the next", and "...another Dylan on the cusp of something else very big." Mountainwalker is his alter-ego hip-hop show.

Friday, 1/27/12, 7:30pm • Pagan Hellcats
Chris Parker said of Pagan Hellcats in The Independent: "...this quartet relies on the basics - well-written songs, beguiling, hook-laden arrangements and fine vocals. Guitarists Dave Rutter and Diane Rodelli trade songs and lead vocals, harmonizing over Americana that ranges from folk-blues to ragged barroom rock....songcraft more enduring than colorful dress-up."

The result is soulful, upbeat, sometimes spooky, and always heartfelt. Lake & Henepin is Reese McHenry's new band.

Saturday, 1/28/12, 7:30 and 10:00pm • Climb Jacob's Ladder
By employing the organic combination of hand percussion (featuring the cajon), original modernist harmonica, melodic/percussive acoustic guitar joined by electric bass and keyboards, along with thoughtful and impactful lyrics propelled by soulful and unusual vocal harmony, Climb Jacobs Ladder has put the emphasis of the music solely on the impact of the songs. There is no boom or bash to divert the listener's attention. It is music with meaning, music that matters. Gary Mitchell (Climb Jacob's Ladder guitarist and singer) will play a solo set before the main performance.
